FROM THE WARMTH OF SICILY

The Lombardo’s, farmers for more than two generations carry on a tradition of producers and wine- makers born in the 1960s, years in which this family started to produce wine with their own grapes inside a cellar placed into an old baronial estate. This cellar is surrounded by vineyards in which it has been respected the territory inclination, the passion for the land, the interest and enthusiasm for innovation that have always strengthened the ancient and deep tie with the agricultural tradition of our land.

The Lombardo’s company vineyards extends among the hills and plains of Caltanissetta covering an area of about 60 hectares in 40 of which grow the “Nero d’Avola” and “Sirah” grapes at an altitude of about 550 mts above sea level. This territory is ideal for grape-growing thanks to his calcareous clayey lands and a Mediterranean climate characterized by day-night thermo changes that precede the grape-harvest and that allow to obtain a better phenolic ripening
